A special thanks to one of our clients for putting us in touch with Versatile Hunting Dog magazine. Dr. Sherman Canapp wrote our first article for them last month and it is featured in the October 2019 edition of their publication.
The article is titled, "Return to Field Trial After Being Treated for Jump Down Syndrome," and takes you through the anatomy, possible clinical signs, diagnosis, and treatment of Jump Down Syndrome (JDS). You will also read through a case study of one of our patients, Colby, that presented with JDS and how it was treated at VOSM.
At the time of the article, Colby was just being released back to limited field trial training. As an update, Colby is now back to full field trial training according to his owner! Below are some recent photos of Colby's return to field trial:
Caption from the client: Water pictures were taken first and 2 days later the land training took place. No issues after at all.
The water retrieves were about 125 yards each way. The land were at 150 and 250 yards.
We are excited to continue to write for Versatile Hunting Dog and will be sure to post our next article!
